The University-Model School®...so much more than a school!

Imagine students of elementary age through high school going to classes the way most college students do. Let the elementary students receive professional instruction at school two days a week, then study for their classes at home three days a week under a parent’s guidance.

From seventh grade on, how about shifting the students’ teacher-led days to three days a week and leading them to study at home under a parent’s oversight the other two days of the week?

What kind of head start for college could we give students if, as juniors and seniors, they actually practiced an authentic, university-style schedule, including:

Do you think it would impact the behavior and character development of these students if parents were so highly involved?
Would family relationships, both present and future, be strengthened with such an approach?
What if all of this could be done for about one-half to two-thirds the tuition cost of a typical private, Christian school?

Could it ever work? Good news... It is working right now!
Welcome to the exciting world of the University-Model School®!

Blending the best of home with the best of traditional education. Parents are the key. Character is the goal. Education is the means.

Preparing for the Upcoming School Year 2011-2012

The NAUMS, Inc. Board of Directors and Staff encourages parents who are interested in enrolling their children in a University-Model School® to peruse the Directory of Schools on this website for information related to Parent Information Meetings. Please note that schools are arranged alphabetically according to state. However, this list will be updated the week of August 15, so if you cannot locate a school in your area, please take another look during the next two weeks.

Unlike other models of education, the University-Model School® offers parents the “gift of time,” an opportunity to be directly involved in their children’s lives and education. If we can be of assistance, do not hesitate to contact us.

The next New School Development Workshop will be offered during the month of February, 2012. If you are interested in finding out more about starting a school in your community, please email Barbara Freeman, Executive Director, at bfreeman@naums.net.
